Inge van de Ven is Assistant Professor at the Department of Culture Studies of the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences of Tilburg University. Currently, I’m a Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellow at University of California Santa Barbara’s English Department, the Norwegian Reading Center of the University of Stavanger, and Tilburg University. She recently completed a Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowship working on a project titled ‘TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read): Close and hyperreading of literary texts and the modulation of attention.’
She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from Utrecht University in 2015. She was a Junior Core Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Budapest (2018-’19) and she is a board member of the Netherlands Institute for Cultural Analysis (NICA) & Vice President of the Tilburg University Young Academy. She holds a BA in Literary Studies and a Research MA in Literary Studies: Literature in the Modern Age, from Utrecht University, as well as a MA in Philosophy from Tilburg University. She has been a visiting researcher at a host of institutions, including The Ohio State University, North-West University, UC Santa Barbara, University of Stavanger, Ukrainian Catholic University, University of Copenhagen, Shanghai International Studies University, and Harvard University.
