Juan Sebastian Olier

Dr. Juan Sebastian Olier is an assistant professor at the Department of Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University. He is an engineer with a PhD in Machine Learning and Cognitive Environments and is passionate about interdisciplinary perspectives involving cognitive and social sciences. His research focuses on applying and developing artificial intelligence methods to derive insights from data related to social phenomena. His latest research has focused on utilizing deep learning techniques to extract meaningful insights from large volumes of visual and textual data, particularly from the media and regarding migration narratives.
